Tony Halik Explorers’ Museum

This is the first museum in Poland dedicated to Polish explorers and their numerous global expeditions. The exhibition presents the heritage of Tony Halik, Elżbieta Dzikowska, and other Polish explorers and scientists, as well as selected exhibits from their collections, which include e.g. multi-coloured textiles from Guatemala and Mexico, body ornaments of head-hunter tribes from India and Papua New Guinea, women’s jewellery from Ethiopia and Namibia, as well as decorative necklaces and national minority costumes from China. The artefacts are complemented with unique film materials documenting many disappearing cultures. On Wednesdays entrance to all permanent exhibitions is free.
