This is an extremely careful reissue of Gwidon Chmarzyński's work ‘Art in Torun' published in 1934. Outline of history ", which is still an unattainable example of a comprehensive study of the city's art. This dissertation has for a long time entered not only the artistic historiography of Torun, but also the Polish history of art. The current edition is preceded by two introductory texts, one presenting the figure of its author - G. Chmarzyński (J. Poklewski), the second presenting the vision of Torun's art (E. Pilecka) presented by this researcher. The whole is complemented by an interestingly combined rich visual material modeled on another work by G. Chmarzyński "Torun of the past and today" (1933), supplemented with contemporary shots of some monuments in the city.
